Toy Reviews for Parents and Kids

As a parent I've always tried my best to get my kids the right kind of toys.
Kids tend to know which toys are cool, even at the youngest of ages they
pick up on commercials and things and say which toys they want.
From this group of toys I do research to find the toys that are durable
and worth the price.
One of the reasons I made this site is that there isn't as much information
on the internet in this area as there should be.
Yes, Amazon has good toy reviews but it is primarily a book site.
Also, the reviews on Amazon are somewhat anonymous so you never know if the
review is legit or if it is from the toy manufacturer.

Our Favorite Toy - Power Wheels Fire Rescue Jeep

Our son's favorite toy is his Fisher Price power rescue jeep.
It is not a cheap toy, costing over $300 with tax and installation.
The 12-volt, 2 seat TRU exclusive Jeep is designed specifically for fire rescue role play.
One of the cool things about this toy jeep is the working water hose and canister attached to the vehicle's body.
Make sure you buy separate batteries for the soundbox which has a siren, radio and horn.
There is a small shovel that detaches from the hood.
The jeep has a pretend winch, oversized tires, red color palette and realistic graphics.

What sets this jeep apart is the durability factor. Ours has crashed into many different
things at all kinds of angles and yet it is holding up fine. The battery life is outstanding,
when we first purchased it I was thinking about getting an extra battery but there is no need
to do that.

Our Least Favorite Toy - Little Tikes Little 3-in-1 Sports Set

I thought the Little lTikes Little 3-in-1 sports set would be the perfect
way to introduce basketball, baseball and golf to our son.
He thought otherwise. It wasn't that that toy was bad, it just wasn't the right fit for us.
The balls are attached to the toy so at least they don't get lost.
The problem is that kids don't like attachments, if they play with a ball they want it do
more than just go in the same circle every time.
Even though it also has unattached balls, it just doesn't make sense to use the toy for that.

The Toys R Us Song

The Toys R Us song is a classic. It is one of the best advertisement songs
related to toys that I've ever heard. Here it is:

I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys' R Us kid
There's a million toys at Toys 'R Us that I can play with!
From bikes, to trains, to video games,
It's the biggest toy store there is! Gee whiz!
I don't want to grow, cuz baby if I did,
I wouldn't be a Toys 'R Us kid!
